Job Specification - Field Supervisor

The South Placer Municipal Utility District is currently accepting applications for a full-time Field Services Supervisor in the Field Services Department.

Monthly Salary: $8,850 – $10,757 

Benefits: CalPERS retirement, District-paid health insurance up to the Kaiser HMO Full Family Rate, 457 plan with District match up to $150 per bi-weekly pay period, Vacation, Sick leave, and Life insurance.

This is a leadership position.  The Field Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in the maintenance, operation, and construction of the District's collection system.  The Field Supervisor reviews, develops, and recommends changes to maintenance programs, and ensures safe work practices and District policies are adhered to.  

Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or G.E.D. and 8 years of collection system maintenance or related underground utility experience, including personnel supervision OR an associate degree and 6 years of collection system maintenance or related underground utility experience, including personnel supervision.  Applicants must also possess a valid CA Class C driver's license.

Employees appointed to the Field Supervisor classification must obtain a Grade IV certification in Wastewater Collection System Maintenance from the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) and complete English 1A at the college level with a grade of C or better within 18 months of appointment (additional details on these requirements are contained in the job description).
