Maintenance Worker I
Job Specification - Maintenace Worker I
The South Placer Municipal Utility District is currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Worker I.
Monthly Salary: $4674 – $5681
Placement level dependent on qualifications. Benefits provided for the Maintenance Worker series include: CalPERS retirement, District paid health insurance up to the Kaiser HMO Full Family Rate, 457 plan with District match up to $125 per bi-weekly pay period, Performance Merit Bonus up to $3,000 per year, Vacation, Sick leave, and Life insurance.
This position performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair, and operation of a wastewater collection system including sewer mains, laterals, manholes, and lift stations; operates light and moderately heavy power-driven equipment.
Minimum requirements are completion of high school or G.E.D.; valid CA Driver license and within 6 months of hire an appropriate Class B CA Driver License; within 12 months of hire obtain Grade 1 certification in Wastewater Collection System Maintenance from California Water Environment Association (CWEA); receive a certificate for completion of Volume 1 “Operation of Wastewater Collections Systems” published by the Office of Water Programs, CSUS within 6 months of hire and Volume 2 within 12 months of hire; must reside within 30 miles of the District's corporation yard and be able to respond and travel there within 30 minutes; performs On-Call duty on a rotational basis.

The South Placer Municipal Utility District is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Laborer I/II/III.
Monthly Salary: $3475 – $4444 (maximum 6-month term/non-benefitted).
Placement level dependent on qualifications.
This position performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair, and operation of a wastewater collection system including sewer mains, laterals, manholes, and lift stations; operates light and moderately heavy power-driven equipment.
Minimum requirements are completion of high school or G.E.D.; valid CA Driver license; must reside within 30 miles of the District's corporation yard and be able to respond and travel there within 30 minutes; available to perform On-Call duty on a rotational basis.
