The District is currently recruiting for the following open positions:
Maintenance Worker I
A completed District Employment Application AND Supplemental Questionnaire must be submitted to ecostan@spmud.ca.gov. Accepting the first 50 applications or closing at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21st, 2021, whichever occurs first.
Performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair, and operation of a wastewater collection system including sewer mains, laterals, manholes, and lift stations; operates light and moderately heavy power-driven equipment.
Monthly Salary: $4494-$5463. Placement level dependent on qualifications.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid CA Driver license and within 6 months of hire an appropriate Class B CA Driver License;
- Within 12 months of hire obtain Grade 1 certification in Wastewater Collection System Maintenance from California Water Environment Association (CWEA);
- Receive certificate for completion of Volume 1 “Operation of Wastewater Collections Systems” published by the Office of Water Programs, CSUS within 6 months of hire and Volume 2 within 12 months of hire;
- Must reside within 30 miles of the District's corporation yard and be able to respond and travel there within 30 minutes;
- Must be available to perform On-Call duty on a rotational basis.

Maintenance Worker I (Limited Term)

Monthly Salary: Maintenance Worker I $4494-$5463. Placement level dependent on qualifications. Maintenance Worker I (Limited Term) is a six-month Non-Benefitted position.
